Guidelight Wealth is dedicated to providing those nearing or in retirement the strategies and products that can help them work toward their financial goals. As a firm with a fiduciary standard, we look to provide our clients with the strategies that work best for their specific retirement needs.

Registered Investment Advisors and Investment Advisor Representatives act as fiduciaries for all of our investment management clients. We have an obligation to act in the best interests of our clients and to make full disclosure of any conflicts of interests, if any exist. Please refer to our firm brochure, the ADV 2A page 4, for additional information.

Guidelight Wealth works through a three-step process that helps us get to know you and your retirement needs.

STEP 1
Knowing You
This step allows us to help make sure that each client takes on no more risk than is prudent.

We take time to know detailed information about our clients: their risk tolerance, time horizon, investment experience, and financial situations.

We evaluate their comfort level with taking short-, intermediate-, and long-term risks and look at their current and future income needs, the nature of their managed accounts, and their unique tax implications.

We listen, take notes, and follow a structured process to establish a unique plan.

STEP 2
Creating Your Unique Strategy
Your unique strategy is written, measurable, and targeted toward helping you pursue your investment goals.

Using tools like Morningstar, Instream, fee analysis, annuity stress test, and 401(k) option analysis, a customized plan we often refer to as “Result in Advance Planning” is created for you.

This plan allows you to have a holistic view of your current situation. If any weak spot is identified, we will show you how this can be fixed or improved upon. In addition, your optimized versions are presented to give you clarity.

STEP 3
Putting You on the Right Path
By touching base with our clients multiple times in the year, we keep them abreast of their current investment situation, check to ensure alignment with their risk tolerance, adjust and make course corrections for any life event changes that could affect their goals.

You receive weekly financial summaries and easy-to-read quarterly reports. During reviews, we are able to find out what’s working well and uncover issues that may need to be addressed. At the end, the clients get to know whether they are on course with their investment plans.

WealthGuardTM
WealthGuardTM monitors your investment 24/7, helping protect your assets against a major market crash by giving you an early warning sign to give you better peace of mind.

WealthGuard is a tracking software used to monitor the performance/growth of a client’s portfolio, and to predetermine the amount of downside a client is willing to tolerate. WealthGuard is NOT an actual stop loss, and will NOT automatically sell the individual securities in the portfolio. Therefore, the WealthGuard value is a reference point to encourage a conversation between the advisor/firm and a client to determine if the client would like to liquidate the portfolio and either move the assets into cash, reset the WealthGuard value, or reallocate to a different risk profile. If the client can not be located, and the portfolio has reached the WealthGuard value, the client can authorize the advisor/firm to modify the portfolio into a meaningfully lower risk asset allocation.

During any liquidation or asset allocation change process, there is no guarantee the exact WealthGuard value will be captured, nor that the assets will be sold the very same day, but rather the notification will alert the advisor and firm that the portfolio needs to be changed at the advisor’s/firm’s earliest opportunity.
